Ethics, Compliance, Privacy and Governance — Built for a Regulated World.
ComplyEdge Advisory Group is a specialized compliance and advisory practice combining ethics program design, international sanctions advisory, data privacy, and AI governance. Our principal is dual-qualified in the U.S. and Nigeria and has advised organizations ranging from companies under multilateral development bank sanctions to multinational technology firms governing AI at scale.
As the practice grows, we work with a curated network of independent specialist advisors to match the right expertise to each client engagement — delivering senior-led advisory without the overhead of a large firm.
Three Gaps We Close
The Ethics Gap
Many organizations have formal codes of conduct that do not translate into operational behavior. A compliance program that exists on paper but not in practice creates false assurance — and when regulators, DOJ prosecutors, or independent monitors examine it, paper compliance is identified quickly and treated as an aggravating factor. We design ethics and integrity programs that are built for operational reality: scenario-specific, risk-calibrated, and verifiable under scrutiny. For organizations operating in international markets — including Sub-Saharan African markets where we hold dual regulatory standing — we further adapt programs to the specific regulatory framework and enforcement culture of each jurisdiction.
The Sanctions Gap
Companies under DOJ, State AG, World Bank, or AfDB sanctions face a specific challenge: they must design compliance programs to the standard of the sanctioning body, embed them operationally across the organization, and have them verified by an independent monitor. Most advisory firms understand either the regulatory standard or the operational implementation — rarely both. ComplyEdge has sat on both sides of this process: designing compliance programs and conducting the independent assessments that determine whether they meet the required standard.
The Governance Gap
Growth-stage technology companies move faster than their legal and compliance infrastructure. AI tools are deployed before governance frameworks exist. Data flows cross jurisdictions before transfer mechanisms are documented. We build the operational infrastructure — data maps, AI risk registers, vendor contracts, DSAR workflows — that closes the gap between policy and practice. As client needs grow in scope, we bring in specialist advisors from our network to ensure the right expertise is applied to every workstream.

PRINCIPAL LEADERSHIP
Kevwe Odima
Kevwe Odima is the founder and Principal Advisor of ComplyEdge Advisory Group. He advises U.S. and international enterprises, technology companies, and development institutions on ethics and compliance program design, data privacy, AI governance, and international regulatory matters including sanctions and debarment. His practice is built on more than a decade of experience spanning commercial litigation, independent compliance monitorships for companies under U.S. and multilateral enforcement actions, and advisory roles at BDO USA.
ComplyEdge operates as a networked advisory practice. On engagements requiring specialist expertise across multiple workstreams, Kevwe works with a curated group of independent advisors — enabling the firm to serve complex, multi-jurisdictional clients without the cost structure of a large firm.
Regulatory Qualification: Kevwe is admitted to the Missouri Bar, giving ComplyEdge full U.S. legal standing for compliance advisory across federal and state regulatory matters. He is also admitted to the Supreme Court of Nigeria — enabling ComplyEdge to advise on Nigerian regulatory requirements and cross-border compliance matters spanning U.S., EU, and West African jurisdictions simultaneously. This combination is genuinely rare and is the foundation of the firm’s cross-border capability.
Ethics & Compliance: Kevwe designs ethics and integrity programs for U.S. and international organizations across a range of regulatory contexts — from DOJ enforcement and corporate integrity requirements to multilateral development bank reinstatement standards. His work aligns programs with the DOJ’s Evaluation of Corporate Compliance Programs, the FCPA, the UK Bribery Act, ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management Systems, and the UN Global Compact. For organizations operating in international markets, including Sub-Saharan Africa, he further adapts programs to local regulatory frameworks and business culture. He is currently engaged by an international development institution to develop compliance training across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Sanctions & Debarment Advisory: Kevwe has advised companies under World Bank, African Development Bank, U.S. Department of Justice, and State Attorney General sanctions on the design and implementation of compliance programs required for reinstatement or enforcement resolution. This work involves forensic assessment of existing compliance infrastructure, gap analysis against sanctioning body standards, program redesign, and preparation for independent monitor review. He has also served as an independent compliance monitor, conducting the forensic assessments that determine whether a company’s compliance program represents operational reality or paper compliance.
Privacy & AI Governance: Prior to founding ComplyEdge, Kevwe held a senior role in the Forensics, Privacy & Data Protection practice at BDO USA, managing Global DPO services for regulated entities across life sciences, financial services, retail, and hospitality. He has developed legal frameworks for GDPR, CCPA, and NDPA compliance, with particular focus on AI governance architectures, data sovereignty across RAG pipelines, and cross-border data transfer mechanisms between U.S., EU, and Nigerian jurisdictions.
